Ambrož pod Krvavcem - Kržišče (Pokovše)

Access to starting point:
A) From highway Ljubljana - Jesenice we go to the exit Vodice, and then we continue driving to a first traffic light crossroad in Vodice, where we continue left in the direction of Cerklje na Gorenjskem and Brnik. When we get to the main roundabout in Spodnji Brnik we continue driving in the direction of Cerklje and ski slope Krvavec. At the end of the settlement Cerklje na Gorenjskem we leave the main road which continues towards Velesovo and Visoko and we continue driving slightly right on a road in the direction of the ski slope Krvavec. Further, we get to the village Grad, where signs for settlement Ambrož pod Krvavcem point us to the right on a steep asphalt road (straight bottom station of the cable car on Krvavec and Štefanja Gora). When the steepness on a steep road decreases a little, we will get to a crossroad, where we continue left in the direction of the settlement Ambrož pod Krvavcem (straight settlement Ravne, Apno and Šenturška Gora). A little further, the road for some time descends a little and then it is ascending through occasionally quite panoramic slopes. Higher, we get to Ambrož pod Krvavcem, where near the open door farm Pr Ambružarju is situated a larger parking lot. The parking lot is intended for guests of the mentioned farm, if we ask for permission, they will almost certainly allow us to park.
B) From highway Jesenice - Ljubljana we go to the exit Kranj - east, and then we continue driving towards Brnik, Komenda and Mengeš. When we get to the main roundabout in Spodnji Brnik we continue driving in the direction of Cerklje and ski slope Krvavec. At the end of the settlement Cerklje na Gorenjskem we leave the main road which continues towards Velesovo and Visoko and we continue driving slightly right on a road in the direction of the ski slope Krvavec. Path description:
From the tourist farm we return to the main road, and from there we continue few steps ahead left on the path in the direction of Krvavec. The path ahead leads us by site of wild garlic, and higher crosses the asphalt road. After quite steep ascent, which mostly runs through the forest, we once again get very close to the road or for few steps we also reach it. We immediately continue right in the direction of the mountain pasture Jezerca and we are gently to moderately ascending. We quickly reach the cart track, on which we step out of the forest on the mountain pasture Jezerca, where there are some wooden cottages.
Behind the cottages we get to a smaller lake, and behind it at the crossing we continue on the upper right cart track (on the lower cart track in few 10 strides we get to the parking lot by the edge of the mountain pasture Jezerca. With nice views, which reach all the way to Julian Alps, we quickly reach unmarked crossing, where we leave the marked path which leads towards Kriška planina and we continue an ascent on the right cart track which is further ascending diagonally. Cart track, on which we are ascending soon changes into a footpath, on which we reach a ski track. We continue the ascent on a worse footpath which continues on the mentioned ski track (while the ski slope operates, walking on a ski slope is forbidden), and higher it is vanishing, but there aren't any problems with orientation, because we all the time follow the path upwards. When we higher reach the upper station of the ski lift on Kržišče, we are on a secondary peak, from which to the main peak separates us only few minutes of easy walking.
