Brezovica pri Ljubljani - Vrh (Debeli hrib)

Access to starting point:
From the Ljubljana - Koper highway, we take the Brezovica exit, then continue driving on the parallel old road towards Vrhnika. Approximately 100 meters before the intersection, where the road branches off to the left towards Podpeč, we will notice signs on the right side of the road for the store with fruit and vegetables Pod orehom, which direct us right onto V Radno street. Here begins our path to Vrh, and we park somewhere nearby in an appropriate place on Brezovica.

Path description:
We leave Tržaška cesta in the direction of the store with fruit and vegetables Pod orehom, then still before the store we continue left onto the ascending road, which leads us past a few houses. Behind the houses, we bypass the last one on the right side; the road passes into the forest and changes into a cart track that is at first still wide. The cart track soon flattens, then brings us to a smaller junction, where we continue on the right, also well-beaten cart track. We soon leave the mentioned cart track as traces of predecessors lead us slightly left onto a well-beaten footpath, which ascends gently for a few minutes. Soon the path reaches the next cart track, where there are a greater number of wood sheds. Here we notice an arrow on a tree that directs us left, but we continue straight on the gentle cart track that crosses the slopes to the right. A little further ahead, the path separates from the cart track, running parallel to it, then returns to it. There follow only a few 10 m of walking on the cart track, then the well-beaten footpath turns left and begins to ascend moderately. In two long zigzags, the path ascends to the indistinct ridge of Brezovski hrib, where it continues with some shorter ascents and descents. About 15 minutes further, we join yet another ridge, where the marked Cankarjeva pot joins us from the right side. Here we continue straight and in a few minutes of gentle ascent reach the marked Vrh, where there are an inscription box, bench, thermometer, frog...
