Path description:
The Summit Walk begins at the end of Kosciuszko Rd. a few hundred meters from the parking places at Charlotte Pass. Just 30 meters away, a more difficult Main Range Track begins as well (a track that traverses a range along the highest mountains of (mainland) Australia). Both paths are well marked, and while the Summit Walk begins with a slight ascent, the Main Range Track begins with a descent.
In the first kilometer of Summit Walk, forest ends. At around the 5th kilometer, there is a bridge over the Snowy River. A well-marked wide path reaches Seaman's hut after approximately 6,5 kilometers of walking distance from the starting point.
