Črni Vrh (Grom) - Javornik above Črni vrh

Access to starting point:
From Logatec we drive towards Idrija or vice versa. In the village Godovič we turn left (from Logatec side, and from Idrija right) in the direction of Črni vrh and Col. We follow this road to the beginning of the village Črni vrh, where we turn left towards the ski slope in the village. Further, we drive past the ski slope to the farm Grom near of which we notice a parking lot and mountain signposts for Javornik.
From Primorska side we drive to Ajdovščina from where we continue towards Col and Črni vrh. At the end of the village Črni vrh we turn right towards the ski slope in the village. Further, follow the upper description.

Path description:
Near the parking lot, we notice signposts for Javornik, which point us on the path which is at first ascending gently through the forest. The path at the beginning runs on a cart track which has quite a few crossings. And soon we walk on a quite steep footpath which higher crosses or is ascending for some time on one of the cart tracks. Because the path is well marked there aren't any problems with orientation. A little higher, the path brings us on the forest road which we only cross. We continue the ascent on a wide and relatively steep cart track in the direction of Javornik. This cart track which is diagonally ascending we follow all the way to the cottage Pirnatova koča on Javornik.
From the cottage, we continue right on a meadow upwards in the direction of the tower on Javornik. After few ten meters of walking, the path goes into the forest, where it moderately ascends. When we come out of the forest we cross a shorter panoramic slope after that only a little below the summit, the path goes again in the forest. A gentle ascent follows through the forest to the top on which we notice a lookout tower. If we have a desire for a view, on our own responsibility we ascend also on the top of the tower from which a nice view opens up.
