Access to starting point:
From Kranjska Gora, we drive towards the border crossing Rateče, but only to a spot, where (in the village Rateče) road in Planica and valley Tamar branches off to the left. The road which moderately ascends soon brings us to a large parking lot at ski jumping hills in Planica. From here we continue on a macadam road in the direction of Dom in Tamar, which we then follow to the parking lot, which is located near the mountain hut.
The road into a valley Tamar is now closed. This extends the path for approximately 1 hour.
Path description:
From the parking lot, we continue to the mountain hut which we reach in a good minute.
Behind the mountain hut, we come to a crossing, where we go to the left cart track in the direction of Slemenova špica and Črne vode. A wide path is at first barely ascending and after good ten minutes of walking, it brings us on gravel terrain of Črne vode. The marked path continues on the left side of torrent deposits to an unmarked crossing, where we continue straight towards the gully, which we see in front of us (left waterfall 2 minutes).
After that, the path passes into a gully, where it is poorly visible. On both sides of the torrent is bad footpath but only the left one is marked. This part mainly in spring time is exposed to falling stones. After few minutes walk through the gully left upwards a nice passage opens on which runs a mountain path. The path then goes for some time in the forest, where it is ascending to slopes vegetated with thin larch forest. The path ahead is ascending on a gentle scree and partly gravel terrain, which a little higher brings us to a smaller well, where water trickles. Next follows few minutes of a steep ascent to the spot, where we step on a small saddle Slatnica.
Here we continue left on the path which in few minutes brings us to characteristic lakes on Sleme. Follows only moderate ascent on the upper slope to the top of Slemenova špica, which we reach in few minutes of additional walking.
