Access to starting point:
First, we drive to Železniki, where a signpost for village Prtovč points us on a side road. After few kilometers of a driving road brings us to a crossroad, where we continue left in the direction of Ratitovec and village Prtovč. Ahead road brings us to the church in the village, behind which we come to a crossroad. We go right in the direction of the hunting cottage. At the crossroad, where a hunting cottage is towards the right, we continue on the left road. And at the next crossroad, we continue on the bottom right road and we follow it to a smaller parking lot on the left side of the road. The parking lot is located 15 meters before a marked cart track towards Ratitovec.
Path description:
From the parking lot, we continue on the road ahead and after few steps, we get to a signpost for Ratitovec left. We go on the path (cart track), which starts ascending and after 10 minutes of walking, it brings us to a crossing.
We go to the left path in the direction of Ratitovec via Kosmati vrh (right mountain pasture Klom). The path ahead is ascending mostly by the edge of steeper slope moderately, in parts steeply upwards. The path then brings us out of the forest on the upper grazing slopes of Kosmati vrh. Further, the footpath is poorly visible, therefore we follow the blazes, but there aren't a lot of them. The path then with nice views, after a good hour of walking, it brings us on an unvegetated peak.
