Access to starting point:
From Bovec, we drive towards Trenta or vice versa, but only to the village Kal-Koritnica, which is the starting point for our tour. By the road, we will notice signposts for Svinjak, and we park on one of the smaller parking lots (don't park on a yard).
Path description:
From the starting point, we go on the road (direction Svinjak), which ascends through the village. And already after few minutes of walking, we go right on a footpath which quickly leads in the forest. Further, we are moderately, occasionally steeply ascending through the forest, and the path higher brings us on a ridge, which then quickly avoids on the south slopes. The path is then ascending by the ridge increasingly steep upwards.
When we walk already almost 2 hours we will notice traces of fire, which happened here years ago. The path then ascends even steeper and leads us on a slightly exposed slope, which is mainly in wet very dangerous for slipping. Ahead increasingly panoramic path in few additional minutes of walking on the upper slope of the mountain brings us on panoramic Svinjak.
Because of substantial steepness in the last part more caution is needed, to avoid slipping.
