Kemuda - Pura Lempuyang

At the Amlapura - Tulamben road in Bali, Indonesiia take the turn to Ngis 2 km away and then another 2 km to Kemuda.

Path description:
At Kemuda do the formalities, receive a sarong if you do not wear long pants and head to the stairs. The first temple out of seven is just a minute or two away. The stairs continue at the left side of the temple. Soon afterwards the stairs end as you step on a paved road. After some 20 minutes you reach another temple (Penataran Agung), where the stairs start again. From there on it is 90 minutes of walk straight up while following the signs for Luhur temple (you pass one more temple if you stay on the stairs leading directly upwards). The local retaliated severely against the monkeys, after their attacks on people worsened in 2012-2015. Now, the monkeys seem quite timid.
