Kompas hotel Ribno - Ribenska gora (on south slope)

Access to starting point:
From highway Ljubljana - Jesenice we go to the exit Lesce and we drive towards Bled, where in the second crossroad we go left on the road which runs towards Ribno. After a good two kilometers of driving, we drive through the village on the road all the way to its end at a parking lot at Kompas hotel Ribno.

Path description:
From the parking lot, we go straight and a little right (south) towards the edge of cliff on which stands hotel, where we immediately run into a footpath which runs right in the forest. Here we also run into the first signpost with the caption Ribenska gora. We step on the path which takes us on the southern slope of Ribenska gora. After a short, gentle walk we run into next signpost, which points us right uphill on a little narrower path towards the summit (straight path which circles Ribenska gora). Next follows few minutes of ascending in zig-zags on the path through the forest. When it becomes thinner, we run into some rocks and on "bench Jakova klopca", where we can take a rest. The increasingly panoramic path immediately above the mentioned bench splits. We choose the left (right option for a descent) and on a little rocky, in parts exposed path we quickly ascend to a panoramic summit of Ribenska gora, which locals call also "cirkel".
