Kopišča - Planina Dol (Martinj steza)

Access to starting point:
First, we drive to Kamnik, and then we continue driving in the direction of Kamniška Bistrica and cableway on Velika planina. In Stahovica we continue left (direction Kamniška Bistrica and cableway Velika planina) and moderately ascending road, we then follow past the bottom cableway station on Velika planina. Only few 100 meters ahead from the cableway on Velika planina, we come in a smaller hamlet named Kopišča. Here we turn right and then we park on an appropriate place by the road.

Path description:
From the starting point, we continue on a cart track which is gently ascending through the forest. Higher becomes a cart track quite rough and starts gradually ascending steeper and steeper. A bit higher, we will notice old hunting path, which from the cart track branches off and then starts relatively steep ascending. The path which is moderately to steeply ascending through the forest, higher brings us to an old mining tunnels. The path ahead passes on a steep but still with a forest covered grassy slopes. Further, the footpath for a short time flattens, after that in zig-zags starts steeply ascending through the forest. Higher, we come by the foot of very the steep slopes, where with the help of smaller wooden bridge we step into rocky terrain. Over a short very steep ascent there's a steel cable for help, and the path then passes on a steep and mainly in wet for slipping dangerous grassy slopes. A little further, the path entirely flattens, after that for quite some time crosses slopes towards the right.
The path ahead brings us to a nice viewpoint, after which the path soon passes on a cart track and then past the hunting cottage, brings us to a macadam road, on which in few minutes we walk to the mountain pasture Planina Dol.
