Path description:
From the starting point, from where a nice view opens up on a dam on river Radovna, we continue on the asphalt road in the direction of Mojstrana, Zg. Radovna and Krma. At the end of the settlement Krnica we enter into the area of Triglav national park, and we walk on the road which runs on the left bank of river Radovna. At the road sign 2.5 km we get to HE Gorje, few 10 meters ahead signs for source of Lipnik point us to the left on a side road which over a bridge leads on the other side of the river. A little further, at the smaller crossroad we continue left on a cart track (straight a homestead Lipnikar), and few steps ahead over a small bridge we cross the stream Lipnik. On the other side of the stream, we go right, where we short time still walk on a cart track, and then the footpath narrows. On a less beaten footpath we quickly get to the information board, and a little further also to the source of Lipnik.
From the source we return to a macadam road, and then we continue towards the homestead Lipnikar, where before the house we continue right over a bridge. On the other side of the stream Lipnik, the cart track goes quickly in the forest, and at the crossings we continue straight. The path soon gets closer to river Radovna, by which we then continue mostly an easy ascent. Further, we go past another dam and later a source, and then we get to a larger meadow, where on the right we notice a lake Jezerce v dolini Radovne.
We bypass the lake on the left side, and then we continue straight and we soon get to riverside of Radovna, by which we continue through the forest. Through the forest, we follow the footpath, and when we step on a meadow, the path vanishes. We continue to the nearby two cottages, and after them we go straight, where in the forest again appears a worse footpath. The footpath leads us a little towards the left, so it goes away from the river Radovna, and it brings us to a source Zmrzlek, where the footpath entirely vanishes. We continue on the other side of the source and in a minute we ascend out of the forest on a larger meadow, where again appears the cart track. On the cart track, we descend to a smaller crossroad, where we continue slightly left on the macadam road (right we return on an asphalt road), from which we soon go slightly right on a cart track which crosses the stream, over which we go on slippery rocks. Cart track gradually changes into a footpath which brings us to the next meadow, where on the left we notice a decaying cottage, and we stick slightly to the right direction, where in the forest appears a footpath which leads through the forest. Through the forest, we go past few wells, after that forest starts to get thinner and we get to a meadow, where there stands a hayrack and behind it also a smaller cottage. Meadow is in month May usually full of flowers, among other things there is also a lot of gentiana clusii.
On the other side of the meadow, behind the smaller cottage, the cart track appears, which then past a green gate for some time brings us into the forest. When we step out of the forest we stick slightly to the right direction, when we return into the forest, we diagonally descend on a worse footpath to riverside of Radovna, where the footpath becomes more distinct and easier to follow. Next follows a walk through the forest, and the path widens into a cart track, and a little ahead it crosses the river Radovna, and we continue straight on a footpath which continues by the river. Next follows traversing of slopes a little above the river, landslide on two parts swept away part of the footpath, so that the passage is a little harder, but still undemanding. When the crossing ends, we step on a larger meadow, where on the right, a cart track appears, and there we continue to an asphalt road.
We follow the road to the right, where we immediately cross river Radovna, and after the bridge we get to memory park Radovna, where we go left on a macadam road. At the crossroads, we follow the road straight, and when on the left we notice a lake, we walk there through a meadow.
From the lake, we return on the road, and at the nearby crossroad, we go straight (left we return on the main road). We continue through meadows, and after few minutes we get to the farm Klemenak, where they sell cheese and milk products. Here the road turns left and a little further it crosses the river Radovna, when we return on the main road, we follow it to the right. From the road a little further road towards Pokljuka branches off, which is closed for public traffic, and we continue straight, where we go past a trough with water and forestry cottages (by the main road there is only one cottage). Further, the road starts a little more ascending and it leads us past Psnak sawmill and mill, and then we go from the main road right in the direction of linden tree Gogalova lipa (straight Krma and Mojstrana), to which we get to after approximately 5 minutes of additional walking.
From linden tree Gogalova lipa, where there is also a homestead Gogala, we continue on the road ahead, where the path leads also past the homestead Gregor, and then we already get to a crossroad, where we go sharply left (right Mojstrana). We continue on the asphalt road which over a torrent brings us to a crossroad, where we return on the road, on which we would come, if we wouldn't decide to see linden tree Gogalova lipa.
We continue right in the direction of the mountain hut Kovinarska koča v Krmi and on a gently sloping road we get to the parking lot by the edge of Kurja vas.
From Kurja vas we continue straight in the direction of the mountain hut Kovinarska koča v Krmi. Gentle road further leads by the edge of the forest and then passes into the forest and it moderately ascends. From the path, where we all the time stick to the main road, occasionally a view opens up a little on surrounding peaks and walls, otherwise the path is without any special views. After a good half an hour of walking from Kurja vas we step on the mountain pasture Zasipska planina, from where a beautiful view opens up towards the mountains above the valley Krma, and we continue left and after a shorter gentle ascent we get to the mountain hut Kovinarska koča in already mentioned valley.
We return on the same path or on shorter path on the asphalt road.
