Kurja vas - Kovinarska koča v Krmi

Access to starting point:
We leave Gorenjska highway at exit Jesenice - west (Hrušica) and we continue driving in the direction of Kranjska Gora. A little before the settlement Dovje, we leave the main road and we continue driving left in the direction of Mojstrana and valleys Vrata, Kot and Krma. Still before we cross Triglavska Bistrica, signs for Radovna, Kot and Krma point us to the left on a little narrower road which ascends past few houses. The road above the settlement Mojstrana starts ascending steeper and past the TNP sign brings us on Kosmačev preval, where the road branches off to the right into a valley Kot. Here we continue straight and we follow the road which starts slightly descending to the first crossroad, where we continue right steeply downwards (direction mountain hut Kovinarska koča, Grbinasti travniki and homestead Pocarjeva domačija). Still asphalt road quickly flattens, leads us past few houses, and then crosses a larger meadow. On the other side of the meadow, we get to a hamlet Kurja vas, where there stands also a homestead Pocarjeva domačija, and we follow the road 100 meters to a marked parking lot by the juncture of road which comes from Bled.

Path description:
From the parking lot, we go on a macadam road in the direction of the mountain hut Kovinarska koča v Krmi. Gentle road at first leads by the edge of the forest and then passes into the forest and moderately ascends. From the path, where we all the time stick to the main road, occasionally a view opens up a little on surrounding peaks and walls, otherwise the path is without any special views. After a good half an hour of walking from the starting point, we step on the mountain pasture Zasipska planina, from where a beautiful view opens up towards the mountains above the valley Krma, and we continue left and after a shorter gentle ascent we get to the mountain hut Kovinarska koča in already mentioned valley.
