Ledinica - Krog (Ledinski grič)

Access to starting point:
A) First, we drive to Škofja Loka, and then we continue driving towards Gorenja vas and Žiri. At the beginning of Žiri, we notice signs for Ledinica, which point us to the right on a local road which starts moderately descending. The road then flattens and it brings us to the bridge over the river Poljanska Sora. After the bridge, we turn right and we park on the settled parking lot.
B) From highway Ljubljana - Koper we go to the exit Logatec, and then we continue driving in the direction of Rovte and Žiri. We continue driving on a quite winding road which we follow to Žiri, here in the center of the town we notice signs for Ledinica, which point us to the left. Further, we drive through the industrial zone, and then we get to the bridge over the river Poljanska Sora. After the bridge, we turn right and we park on the settled parking lot.

Path description:
From the parking lot, we continue on a macadam road which continues by the left bank of Poljanska Sora and by which we notice the blazes. We at first walk without changes in altitude, and when we get closer to the hill, where there is the church of St. Ana signposts for Mrzli vrh and mountain hut Mrzlk point us to the left, through a meadow, and when we reach the forest, the path starts ascending, at the wooden religious symbol turns right and quickly ascends to the church of St. Ana.
We bypass the church on the left side, and from the nearby crossing, we continue on the left path in the direction of Mrzli vrh (right Selo). The path ahead leads us on a narrower macadam road, where we go past individual houses, and at the nearby crossroad, we go right upwards. Next follows a walk on a gradually steeper road, that runs by the fence, behind the last house, the road turns right and through a smaller saddle descends on a cart track.
After few 10 strides of descent, the path splits, and we continue left on a footpath in the direction of Mrzli vrh (straight path through Jarčja Dolina). After a shorter diagonal ascent through the forest we reach the cart track, where we follow the blazes, and the cart track gradually passes on a ridge and higher it changes into a mountain path. The path ahead for quite some time leads on the ridge of Ledinski grič, and here and there also a view opens up a little, which reaches all the way to the Alps. Only a little before the peak of Ledinski grič, a marked path from the ridge turns slightly to the right, so that it on the right side bypasses the mentioned peak and neighbouring Krog, and we continue straight and we ascend on an indistinct Ledinski grič, where there is usually a woodpile.
From the top follows a short easy descent, and then on a beaten, but unmarked footpath we start ascending towards Krog. A little below the summit, we step out of the forest on a panoramic meadow, from which a beautiful view opens up, and when we return into the forest past the bench and a log cabin we ascend to the highest point of Krog, where there is a stone with the caption Krog and a little away also a smaller cross on the tree.
