Ljubljana (Žabja vas) - Orle

Access to starting point:
From the Ljubljana eastern bypass we head to the exit Ljubljana - Bizovik, and then we continue driving in the direction towards Sostro. For some time we still drive on the main road, and then we continue slightly right in the direction towards Podlipoglav. We continue driving on the road Cesta II. grupe odredov, from which soon a road branches off to the right towards sv. Urh, and we continue on the main road to the Petrol petrol station, behind which at the junction we continue right in the direction towards Orle. Towards Orle we drive to the hamlet Žabja vas, where signs for the log cabin Brunarica Zadvor point us to the right. The described path starts at the mentioned log cabin, where parking is allowed only for guests.

Path description:
From the log cabin Brunarica Zadvor we continue on a wide forest path in the direction towards Orle. The path first ascends somewhat more steeply, then moderately on Zadvorski hrib hill. The well-beaten path splits several times, and we choose the one which is better beaten, next to which for some time also a trim trail runs. Higher the trim trail ends or turns back, and we continue on the forest path, which continues along the ridge of Zadvorski hrib hill. Higher, we leave Zadvorski hrib hill, and from the right two paths from sv. Urh join us. From both crossings we continue in the direction towards Orle, and in some places there are also signs for Gostilnica Orle inn. A little further we arrive at the ridge of Šinkovčev hrib hill, where the path continues on a wide cart track, at the cross we leave it and continue right onto the path, which temporarily descends a little. When the path starts ascending again, it quickly brings us to an asphalt road, which we follow to the left, along which we quickly arrive at Gostilnica Orle inn, from which a beautiful view opens up, which with good visibility reaches all the way to Triglav.
