Log pod Mangartom - The Parabola waterfall

Access to starting point:
From Bovec, we drive towards the border crossing Predel, but only to the village Log pod Mangartom. Here we will in the center of the village notice a sign for the waterfall Parabola, which points us right on narrow street slightly downwards. We follow this road to a parking lot at river Koritnica.
To here we can also come on the road which comes from the bridge over the river Koritnica.

Path description:
From the parking lot, we walk to river Koritnica, which we carefully cross (if water is high we will probably have to take off the shoes). When we cross the river, we will on the other side notice abandoned cottage, by which we notice signs "Fratarica". We go on this path, which quickly brings us on a relatively steep cart track which we follow to the first crossing. We continue on the right side, where the cart track quickly passes into a steep mountain path, which is ascending by the stream upwards. Occasionally slightly exposed footpath quickly brings us to a nice vantage point from which a nice view opens up on waterfall.
Majority of hikers end the tour here, we can extend it to a smaller lake below the waterfall. To there we first have to descend on narrow and exposed path, which after a short descent brings us to a riverbed of the stream. And from there only a short ascent follows to the foot of waterfall.
The path from the vantage point to the foot of waterfall is appropriate only for experienced mountaineers (great risk of slipping).
