Mala Lazna - Mali Golak

Access to starting point:
First, we drive on Lokve (to here from Nova Gorica or Most na Soči), and then we continue driving in the direction of Predmeja. When we come to a larger meadow, where at the crossroad we notice numerous signposts, we are on Mala Lazna.
Possible is also access from Predmeja.

Path description:
From Mala Lazna we go on the forest road in the direction of cave Velika ledena jama v Paradani. The road quickly goes into the forest, where it then continues with some shorter ascents and descents. After approximately 15 minutes road brings us to a crossing, where the marked path branches off to the right towards the mountain hut Iztokova koča.
At the crossing, we continue right downwards where signposts »Golaki, Iztokova koča 30min« point us to, and left leads the road forward towards the cave Velika ledena jama v Paradani.
Further, we all the time walk on a cart track through the forest and we are mostly slightly ascending. Later, the cart track becomes a little narrower and then brings us again on a macadam road near the crossing of several paths. At the crossing signposts point us on a footpath through the forest, which in 5 minutes brings us to the mountain hut.
From the mountain hut, we continue slightly right (direction Golaki) on the path which returns into a dense forest. The path ahead is short time gently, and then steeper and steeper ascending, on mostly western to southwestern slopes of Mali Golak. After approximately half an hour of walking from the mountain hut Iztokova koča path flattens and brings us on a forested ridge, from which in spite of vegetation a nice view opens up. We continue on the mentioned ridge, where in less than 10 minutes of additional walking, we step on the summit of Mali Golak.
