Markova raven - Košutna (marked way)

Access to starting point:
We drive to Kamnik and follow the road ahead towards the valley of Kamniška Bistrica. Only few ten meters before the bottom station of the cable car forest road branches off to the left downwards into a valley of Korošica. The road then crosses a bridge and soon after that comes to a crossroad, where we continue straight. The road then again brings us on a crossroad. Ahead we have two options: 1st We turn left over the bridge and we are ascending on the road upwards. We follow this road to a smaller parking lot at Markova raven. We recognize Markova ravan by that, that by the road there is a smaller parking lot, torrent and wide cart track which goes left upwards, and the road starts steeply descending. 2nd We continue straight and we are ascending on the road which brings us to the next crossroad. We continue on the left road which becomes very steep and we follow it to the parking lot at the left turn from which wide cart track branches off straight. We park on a parking lot by the road.

Path description:
From the parking lot, we go on a wide cart track which after few ten meters brings us to the next parking lot. Over the parking lot we continue straight and we are then ascending on a cart track which turns left. After few minutes of walking, the cart track has a crossing, where we go on the right marked cart track. We follow it few minutes to the spot, where the footpath branches off to the right towards Krvavec and mountain pasture Koren. Turn-off isn't specifically marked so we have to carefully follow the blazes. The path ahead is ascending on the right side of the torrent quite steeply upwards. The path then brings us to a crossing, where we continue right in the direction of "ZA VRATA". The path ahead slowly passing into less dense forest so that in parts we cross some smaller meadow or even short scree. Views are also becoming increasingly beautiful. Further, the path brings us below the foot of shorter wall from which right upwards unmarked path branches off on the mountain pasture Koren. We continue on the left side of the wall slightly upwards. The path ahead slightly descends and it brings us to a pleasant well. The path ahead passes on the left side of a well and again starts ascending. The path ahead crosses a shorter lane of dwarf pines, and then starts ascending on grass. Ahead the path is hard to follow because among grass it quickly vanishes but blazes, which are rare will help us. After 20 minutes of ascent from a well path brings us to a wooden cottage. The path behind the cottage turns left in the forest and after a short ascent joins the path from the mountain pasture Kriška planina (Krvavec). We continue sharply right and without larger ascent or descent we cross a lane of a forest. Further, the path starts ascending on slopes, which are vegetated with dwarf pines and some trees. After 20 minutes of ascent steepness decreases and in front of us, we notice shepherd cottage on the mountain pasture Koren. The path then past a watering-place for animals descends to shepherd cottages on the mountain pasture.
Here at the cottage slightly right (direction southeast) path, which runs on the mountain pasture Planina Košutna branches off. The path at first crosses slopes almost horizontal, and then it brings us on technically demanding spot. The path steeply ascends over a shorter rocky jump, where we have fixed safety gear for help. The path then flattens and past a cross brings us to the mountain pasture Planina Košutna, where there stands a chapel and shepherd hut.
From the mountain pasture, we continue on a poorly beaten footpath which goes on the left side of the chapel into dwarf pines. The path ahead is slightly ascending on a moderately steep and panoramic slope of Košutna. When the path entirely flattens path to the summit of Košutna branches off to the right (turn-off is marked, but the path wrongly marked). This very poorly visible path, we then follow all the way to peak which we reach after 15 minutes of additional walking (we stick to the left passages, even though the trail blaze in the lower part goes right).
The path is marked but in some parts hard to follow. If we lose footpath we look for a passage among dwarf pines and in doing so, we have to be careful, not to get lost in dwarf pines.
