Access to starting point:
From Ljubljana, we drive towards Medvode or vice versa. In the village Medno we turn left (from Ljubljana side, from Medvode right) and we drive good 100m to hotel in Medno. We park on a parking lot near the mountain signposts, in front of the hotel only guests are allowed to park.
Path description:
From the parking lot near the hotel we continue on the road in the direction of the mountain hut Slavkov dom and Katarina. The marked path already after few minutes leaves the road and goes left in the forest, where it continues on a cart track which occasionally ascends a little and then descends again. The path through the forest has quite a few crossings so we carefully follow the blazes, not to go astray from the right path. The path then descends and it brings us to a meadow after which we come to houses, where we join the road. We follow this road only for a short time, and then blazes and signs for Slavkov dom point us to the right on a side road which starts ascending. A well-marked road which is at first ascending, and last 10 minutes descending we follow all the way to the mountain hut Slavkov dom na Golem brdu.
