Parking Uskovnica - Planina Zajamniki

Access to starting point:
From highway Ljubljana - Jesenice we go to the exit Lesce and follow the road towards Bled and forward towards Bohinjska Bistrica. Only a little before Bohinjska Bistrica, at settlement Bitnje, we continue sharply right in the direction of Pokljuka. After a short ascent the road flattens and it quickly brings us into a valley Zgornja Bohinjska dolina. Here at the crossroad we continue left (right Pokljuka) and follow a road ahead to Srednja vas. Here in the second part of the village we notice signs for Uskovnica, which point us to the right on narrower and quite steep road which later loses an asphalt covering. We drive approximately 7 km in the direction of the mountain hut Dom na Uskovnici. We come to the parking lot, where a sign prohibits further driving and we park there.

Path description:
From the parking lot, we continue past the mountain dairies and pastures towards Uskovnica. Slowly we are ascending on a cart track and we get to a crossroad, where we continue right towards the mountain hut and chapel. We soon come to the mountain hut Dom na Uskovnici.
From here in five minutes of a light ascent, we get to the chapel. At the crossroad near the chapel, we continue right on an ascending road. After a short ascent, we come to a crossroad, where we continue straight. The road descends to a bridge, where there is a parking lot which is called Razpotje. We continue left (right mountain pasture Šeh) and we ascend to the next crossroad, where signs point us to the right towards Zajamniki. After a short ascent the road descends to the mountain pasture Praprotnica. At the crossing signs point us on the mountain pasture Šeh, and we continue straight on the road which is for quite some time ascending again. After 30 minutes we come to the signpost Zajamniki, where we go right. And after few minutes we are on the mountain pasture Zajamniki. For a view, we walk past cottages, to an old cottage on the top of the mountain pasture.
