Access to starting point:
We drive to Mojstrana, and then we follow the signs for valley Vrata. Further, we drive through the valley Vrata, about 100 meters before the road sign 10 km, we will notice a cart track which branches off right perpendicularly on the main road. Here is the beginning of the described path. Marked parking lot on which it is allowed to park is situated approximately 500 meters ahead on the main road.
Path description:
We go on a cart track which goes into the forest and after a short ascent, it brings us to a smaller house. Behind the house where there is a crossing, we continue on the path which goes slightly left. Next follows an ascent through the forest and then through a clearing with fallen trees. The path further still runs slightly to the left towards the stream Rdeči potok, and by the path there is still quite a lot of fallen trees. A short time we are then still ascending through the forest and then the path brings us to a little poorly visible crossing. At the crossing on the right side there is carved some kind of face and letter L on the tree. And on the left side of the path, we can we can notice a carved arrow on the tree, which is pointing us to the right.
At the crossing, we continue right and the path starts steeply ascending through the forest and then it turns a little more to the right and slowly brings us on steep slopes. We are then for some time ascending in hairpin turns on steep slopes, and the forest becomes a little thinner so that from the path also wonderful views start opening up towards Triglav and other peaks above the valley Vrata. The slope on which runs the path is still quite steep and also dangerous for slipping, therefore also some caution is needed. Higher when the path brings us on the northern side of Brinova glava, the trees are denser again. Here the path soon brings us to a crossing where we will notice a narrower footpath which branches off right towards the peak of Brinova glava.
We go on the mentioned path which runs on a narrower vegetated ridge towards the summit. At first through a thin forest and then by some dwarf pines we quickly reach a very panoramic peak.
