Radoboj - Sušec (Strahinjščica)

Access to starting point:
We leave the highway Macelj-Zagreb at exit Krapina and then we drive in the direction of Varaždin-Radoboj. When we come to the next crossroad, to the left is direction for Krapina, right direction for Krapinske Toplice, and we go straight towards Radoboj (direction isn't marked).
The road then leads us through Velika Vas and Jazvine, and then it starts ascending and brings us in Radoboj. We leave the car in the center of the settlement, and if it is occupied, a little lower at the sports field NK Radoboj.

Path description:
From the center of Radoboj we go to the north. The orientation is easy, because this is the only road which goes upwards. We soon come to a smaller roundabout, where we get help from signs and tourist boards. We go ahead on the road which starts slightly descending, and the path leads us also past the hunting lodge, which was still under construction. The first part of the path, where we walk isn't marked, but it is almost impossible to miss, if we stick to an asphalt road.
When we come to the village Kamenečki, the path turns to the right, and a little ahead the asphalt ends and we continue on a cart track into the forest.
The path ahead is ascending steeper on a forested cart track, where the path leads us past some water supply structures. The steepness then gradually decreases and the path leads us through area, where it is usually quite muddy. On such path we get to the saddle Plat, where there is a crossing.
At the crossing, we go right, where we pass on a meadow, by which stands a hunting observatory. The path quickly returns into the forest and becomes quite steep, and the grounding is more and more rocky. Further, we go past the projecting roof, where we can take a rest, and only about a minute higher, we reach the saddle between the peak Sekolje and the upper ridge of Strahinjščica, where there is the next crossing.
Straight downwards leads the path into Gornje Jesenje, the right path ascends to the peak Sekolje, and we go left.
From here on, the path becomes very steep and leads us on the ridge, where for some time becomes even more rocky and mainly in wet also dangerous for slipping, therefore on this part some steel cable would come in handy, which it isn't there. Higher the ridge flattens and it brings us to the spot, where used to be a nice viewpoint, but today it is more and more overgrown by the forest.
We continue on the northern ridge of Strahinjščica, where we go through another part, where the steel cable would come in handy. Further, the path from the ridge passes on the southern slope, where we soon get to the forest cart track.
On the cart track, we walk only few 10 meters and then we go left on a footpath. Next follows some easy walking through less dense forest, and after crossing another cart track, the path for some time again steeply ascends. When the path flattens, to the top separates us only about a minute of walking.
Because the peak is in the forest, for the view we need to continue another twenty minutes ahead in the direction of the mountain hut, to the wall Dedek.
It is not recommended to go on this path in the rain.
