Access to starting point:
From highway Ljubljana - Jesenice we go to the exit Lesce, and then we continue driving towards Bled. In Bled signs for village Ribno point us to the left, and we follow a little narrower road to the settlement Ribno. Here we notice signs for Talež, which point us to the right downwards on the road Savska cesta, on which we descend to the parking lot in front of bridge Ribenski most.
Path description:
From the parking lot, we at first walk to the bridge Ribenski most, we cross it and on the other side of the river Sava Bohinjka we continue right towards Talež and village Kupljenik (left Talež and Bodešče). For some time we still continue on the road, and then signs for Talež point us to the left on at first gentle footpath which starts ascending through the forest. At first still gentle footpath, quickly starts ascending steeper and further leads on a relatively steep and mainly in snow and ice for slipping dangerous slopes (snowless path doesn't represent any problems). Higher, the footpath flattens and only a little higher it joins a cart track, on which we quickly get to NOB monument, bench and chapel. Here we continue right and only few 10 meters ahead we join a wider macadam road, on which in a gentle ascent, past few holiday cottage, in few minutes we get to Hunting cottage Na Taležu, from which a nice view opens up on Karawanks and villages around Bled.
At the hunting cottage also otherwise rare blazes end, and we continue on the macadam road which on the left side bypasses Hunting cottage Na Taležu. After few minutes, the road changes into a cart track, and a little higher it changes into unmarked forest footpath. The path a little higher brings us on a smaller indistinct ridge, which we reach right on a smaller saddle. Here we continue right and the path, by which we notice few unofficial blazes (few arrows and acronyms on the trees) we follow to 883 meters high Tolsti vrh, which we reach after few minutes of ascent (we recognize the peak by a smaller concrete column).
