Access to starting point:
We drive into the center of Bovec, where from a crossroad at the main square we continue on an ascending road which past the post office starts ascending towards the nearby church. We bypass the mentioned church on the left side, and then we get to Kaninska vas. Bovec then ends and the road for some time leads towards the west. At a smaller crossing we leave the main asphalt road which leads towards the village Plužna and we continue driving on a slightly right road (behind the crossroad there are signs for road Gozdec). Behind the nearby homestead, the road once again splits, this time we choose a slightly left road (slightly right Zavrzelno and the starting point of the path on Rombon). Further, we are ascending 1.2 kilometers on the macadam road, where at the gentle turn, on the left and on the right side of the road, we see yellow signs, which mark the mountain path. We park by the road, the parking lot isn't marked.
Path description:
From the macadam road, we go on the other macadam road, where there is a traffic sign no motorised vehicles. The road is slowly ascending, direction is marked with the sign. After 700 meters of walking, we turn sharply left (there is also a sign) on a mule track, and after 800 meters we continue straight (road or mule track turns right towards the mountain pasture Goričica, our direction is again marked with the sign). The road soon passes into a mountain path, and after 1400 meters of walking, the path branches off right upwards (straight B station of the cableway, 10 minutes). It is important, that we go towards the mountain pastures at the sign, because only 50 meters before that there is another poorly beaten path uphill. The sign shows that to the mountain pasture Krnica we will need another 1 hour of walking. The path is slightly ascending on an old military mule track all the way to the mountain pasture Krnica. Unlike the direct path from B station, this path isn't exposed. We can return on the road back towards B station of Kanin cableway and then on the road or on earlier walked path towards the starting point.
