Access to starting point:
We drive to Bohinjska Bistrica, and then we continue driving in the direction of the lake Bohinj. When we get to the settlement Savica, at the bus stop there is the beginning of the described path. At the starting point, there aren't any parking spots.
Path description:
Behind the bus stop, we continue right on a side road which through the settlement starts lightly descending. At first, we go past the chapel, and then also past the birth house of Štefan Rožič, who is one of the four hearted men, that on 26th August 1778 were the first that ascended Triglav and past few apartments, and after the next chapel we get to the bridge over Sava Bohinjka. After the wooden bridge, we go right and we get to the settlement Brod, where from the crossroad we continue left in the direction of Rudnica. And after the "last" house, we then go twice right in the direction of Rudnica. Next follows a steeper ascent on a cart track, and the path in few minutes of ascent brings us to a marked crossing, where we continue on the slightly left path in the direction of Široka polica (slightly right direct path).
Next follows some ascent through the forest and then we get to scree, on which we diagonally ascend, and during the ascent on the scree a nice view opens up. After the scree we get below the cliffs, where there is a danger of falling stones, and we are still ascending diagonally towards the left. Higher, the path flattens and it brings us to a marked crossing, from which we continue right in the direction of Rudnica (left Ribčev laz and Stara Fužina).
Next follows a moderate ascent through the forest, where we are ascending on Široka polica, and a little further again a nice view opens up, and by the path, we also notice a bench, where we can take a rest.
A little further, we get to meadows, where from the left joins another path from Stara Fužina, and we continue to the edge of the forest, where we choose the slightly left path. A little further, we join the direct path, and to the top separates us only a short gentle ascent.
