Access to starting point:
From highway Ljubljana - Jesenice we go to the exit Lesce, and then we continue driving towards Bled. Still before Bled we notice signs for camp Šobec, which point us to the left on the road, on which we quickly get to a large parking lot, which is located before the entrance into the camp. Parking lot or the last part of the road is in part of the year payable. During a high summer season is payable also the entrance into the camp or access to Šobčev bajer.
Path description:
From the starting point, we walk on the western part of camp, where by the bridge we cross Sava Dolinka. After the bridge, we continue left in the direction of Talež and bridge Bodeški most (right Koritno and Bled) on a cart track which continues through an ample meadow. When we walk through a meadow, when we look back a nice view opens up on Karawanks, and we follow the cart track to the spot, where it passes to the edge of the forest and starts ascending. On this part worse cart track branches off to the right, which starts ascending diagonally towards the right. Next follows few minutes of a diagonal ascent through the forest and then we step out of the forest on longer plain, over which with nice views, we walk to the village Bodešče, which we reach at longer hayrack.
We continue past few houses and we are already at the first crossroad, where we continue straight in the direction of the church of St. Lenart. The path ahead leads us through the village and it quickly brings us to the next crossroad. We again continue in the direction of St. Lenart and Gradišče, and on a gently sloping road in a minute of additional walking, we get to the already mentioned church.
From the church, we continue on the road ahead in the direction of Gradišče, the road only a little further, still before the last house in the village we leave and we continue left. The path ahead ascends through a narrow lane of a low forest and passes on the other side of the hill, where only few meters below the summit crosses relatively steep slopes above the river Sava Bohinjka. After a minute, two of crossing, the path turns sharply to the left and passes on a ridge, on which we quickly ascend on a panoramic peak with a cross and bench.
