Spodnja Kokra - Hotel Krvavec

Access to starting point:
From highway Ljubljana - Jesenice we go to the exit Kranj - east and follow the road ahead in the direction of Zgornje Jezersko. In the village Kokra, at the road sign between 10.5 and 10km road towards Spodnja Kokra branches off to the right downwards (by the crossroad there are also signposts). Immediately after the road crosses the river Kokra we park on a parking lot by the road.

Path description:
At the beginning of the parking lot, we notice a blaze, which points us right on a footpath which is ascending on overgrown stairs. The path then flattens and higher brings us on the road which we follow to the right. After a short ascent, we come to a smaller crossroad, where we continue right, and we follow the road only few ten meters to a decaying house. At decaying house blazes point us on a cart track (road here turns right), which we then follow only a short time because marked path turns right and past a cross brings us to a stream. The path mentioned stream crosses and behind it starts ascending steeper. The steepness soon decreases and the path in a moderate ascent, which almost entirely runs through the forest after a good hour of walking, it brings us to an indistinct saddle, where there is a crossing. We continue left on a cart track in the direction of the mountain hut Dom na Gospincu.
Quite gently sloping cart track then leads us past NOB monument, and after the memorial path in short time few times splits. At all crossings we carefully follow the blazes, and marked path soon leaves the cart track and is further steeply ascending through a dense forest. Steeper and steeper path higher brings us to a smaller vantage point, from which a view opens up on cable car, which runs on Krvavec. The path then returns into the forest and is ascending on the path, on which can in the opposite direction come some cyclist (there is quite a lot of them; larger part they have own route, but occasionally is only one path). When we come out of the forest, the path crosses a grazing fence and then it brings us on the road which we reach by garages for snow groomers.
Here we continue left (right upper station of the cable car on Krvavec and mountain hut Dom na Gospincu - 1 minute) on the road which continues by summer park Krvavec, and then passes into the forest, where it leads us also past adventure park. Above adventure park we also get to boarding house Penzion Tia, and after the boarding house in few hairpin turns we ascend to Hotel Krvavec, which is situated left from the macadam road.
