Šport hotel - Lipenšči hrib

Access to starting point:
From highway Ljubljana - Jesenice we go to the exit Lesce and we follow the road in the direction of Bled, there in traffic lights crossroad signs for Pokljuka point us to the right. This road which in the lower part runs through some villages and later starts ascending steeper we follow to Šport hotel on Pokljuka. We park at an appropriate place by the road or near the hotel. Parking in front of the hotel is only for guests.

Path description:
From Šport hotel on Pokljuka or from the spot, where we've parked, we at first return to the main road, from where we continue towards Rudno polje. After few 10 meters, forest road branches off to the right, on which also continues a marked path towards the mountain pasture Zajavornik and mountain hut Blejska koča on Lipanca. We continue on the mentioned road which without large changes in altitude continues through the spruce forest. After about 20 minutes the road ends and it brings us to the turning point, from which we continue straight on an ascending cart track. After few minutes of a moderate ascent we get to a smaller saddle, from which a marked path starts descending towards the nearby mountain pasture Zajavornik, and right on this spot we leave the marked path and we continue right on an indistinct forest ridge of Lipenšči hrib. From the spot, where we left the marked path we walk towards the east and we all the time follow some sort of the ridge, from which for some time a view opens up towards the mountain pasture Zajavornik. When on the right side a view opens up on the old clearing, we gradually pass over on the upper slope of the already mentioned hill. A short time we continue towards the east, and then we step out of the forest on a slope vegetated with some young spruces. Here we go a little more to the right and we continue the ascent towards the highest point, which at first isn't very distinct yet. Higher, we notice a hunting observatory, which is situated on Lipenšči hrib, and to there we ascend without any bigger problems in a minute, two of additional walking. From the top, or already a little lower a nice view opens up on Tosc, Viševnik, Mrežce, Debela peč and other surrounding peaks.
