Šport hotel - Mesnovec

Access to starting point:
From highway Ljubljana - Jesenice we go to the exit Lesce and we follow the road in the direction of Bled, there in traffic lights crossroad signs for Pokljuka point us to the right. This road which in the lower part runs through some villages and later starts ascending steeper we follow to Šport hotel on Pokljuka. We park at an appropriate place by the road or near the hotel. Parking in front of the hotel is only for guests.

Path description:
From Šport hotel by the edge ski slope, or just through the forest we ascend to the nearby forest road which is situated about 10 minutes above hotel. When we reach the road, we follow it to the left and there we are gently ascending. The road on which we walk is all the time slowly turning towards the right and a little higher brings us to the smaller crossroad, where we continue on the right road. We continue past a green gate and we continue on the road which occasionally even slightly descends. The road after few minutes again starts moderately ascending and slightly higher brings us to the next crossroad. This time as well we continue on the right road, and it narrows a little and brings us on a smaller saddle between two peaks of Mesnovec. For a view, we can in 2 minutes ascend on the nearby left peak (1508 meters), otherwise we continue right and on easier pathless terrain in 5 minutes we ascend on higher main peak.
