Further, we drive on a narrower asphalt road which we follow to a marked parking lot few 10 meters below Sveta Gora.

An ascending road further leads past the quarry Solkan, after that a little higher turns sharply to the right and it brings us to the inn Skalnica, behind which we continue slightly left in the direction of Sveta Gora. Path description:
From the parking lot, we continue on the road in the direction of Vodice and a bridle path of three shrines (signposts are located a little above the parking lot, more precisely by the crossroad, where we turn left towards the parking lot), which loses an asphalt covering and it is moderately descending. Further, the road is mostly descending through the low forest, but in spite of that occasionally a nice view opens up towards Krn and surrounding mountains. After a good 150 altitude meters of a descent, we get to a small saddle named Preški vrh, where there is a crossroad of several forest roads.
From the saddle, we continue straight on a worse ascending road in the direction of Vodice, which only few 10 strides ahead we leave because blazes lead left on a marked footpath. The path ahead returns into a low forest and then continues in a moderate ascent. Further, the path leads us past several trenches and few caverns from the time of the first world war, and then it for some time ascends a little steeper. Steepness very quickly decreases and a relatively gently sloping path brings us out of the forest on an overgrown meadow, from which we already see the peak of Vodice, on which there is a mausoleum of general Gonzaga and which we reach after few 10 strides of additional walking.
On the way: Preški vrh (503m)
