Access to starting point:
We leave Gorenjska highway at exit Hrušica and follow the road ahead in the direction of Kranjska Gora. Just a little before the village Dovje the road which goes to Mojstrana (Vrata, Kot and Krma) branches off to the left. We follow the road ahead in the direction of village Radovna and the valleys Krma and Kot. The relatively steep road then runs past the TNP sign, behind which the road soon flattens and it brings us to a crossroad, where a macadam road into a valley Kot branches off to the right (straight Radovna and Krma). This occasionally a bit rough road, we then follow to the parking lot, where we also notice mountain signposts.
Path description:
From the starting point, we continue on a rough road which after few minutes brings us to a turning point (parking is not desirable here). The path ahead turns slightly to the left and crosses a torrent. On the other side of the torrent we are for quite some time gently ascending through the forest. After a half hour walk the path starts ascending. Next follows few ten strides of walking on the steep path, where iron spikes help us, which in dry aren't necessary. The steepness then decreases and the path brings us to a well (in dry period dries up) at an altitude 1340m. Here unmarked path on Macesnovec branches off to the left, and we continue on a marked path, which crosses a torrent. Next follows a short crossing of the steep part, where there is a steel cable for help (undemanding). After that, the path crosses a lane of dwarf pines and higher ascends on more rocky slopes, where in front of us we see Debeli kamen (large boulder, which we see on the top of the slope). To Debeli kamen (thick stone) we ascend on a gravel path surrounded with dwarf pines. Further, the path ascends by smaller scree upwards and a little higher turns more to the right, where brings us to a crossing. We continue left in the direction of Staničev dom and Rjavina (right Vrbanove špice very demanding path). The steepness then decreases and follows few minutes of easy walking to the next crossing. We continue on the right path towards Staničev dom, which bypasses a sinkhole Pekel, which we see right below us (path left goes on Rjavina on climbing path). Further, we are gently ascending all the way to Staničev dom where a beautiful view opens up on Triglav.
