Access to starting point:
We drive to Mojstrana, and then we follow the signs for valleys Kot and Krma. On Kosmačev preval we leave the road which leads further towards Krma, Radovna and Bled and we continue right on a side road in the direction of valley Kot. Next follows driving on a macadam road which we follow to mountain signposts at the end of the driving road in Lengarjev rovt.
Path description:
From the end of the road, we continue on a wider marked path in the direction of Staničev dom and Kredarica, which is lightly ascending through the forest. After few minutes, we get to gravel terrain of Kotarica, through which we go diagonally to the other side, where the footpath appears again.
On a marked path towards the mountain hut Staničev dom we walk only a short time because soon on the right we notice an unmarked footpath, on which we continue, and after few minutes it brings us back to the torrent deposits of Kotarica (to here possible also on a torrent). We continue on gravel terrain gently upwards, and when the valley starts narrowing, we go on the left side (the right bank of the stream), where in the forest a little above the stream we notice a bad unmarked footpath. Here we start ascending steeper, and we soon get to the spot, where a view opens up on the bottom waterfall of Kotarica.
The path ahead leads through the forest quite steeply upwards and soon the view opens up also on the upper waterfall, during the high water level, when the snow is melting and after stronger storms we can see few more waterfalls, some of them can be very big.
And when a little ahead the slope above the gorge of Kotarica becomes very steep, a worse footpath turns left and it ascends diagonally to a marked path, which we at the beginning left.
When we reach the mentioned path we follow it to the left downwards (right upwards - Staničev dom), and there we descend to the starting point, where we started the trip.
