The Krma Valley - Okroglež

Access to starting point:
We drive to Mojstrana, and then we follow the signs for valleys Kot and Krma and settlement Radovna. The relatively steep road then runs past the sign TNP, behind which the road soon flattens and it brings us to a crossroad, where a macadam road into a valley Kot branches off to the right. We continue straight on the road which starts descending. In the middle of the descent, a road into a valley Krma branches off to the right (straight Radovna). A little further, we come to the next crossing, where we continue right in the direction of Krma. Macadam road then brings us to the mountain hut Kovinarska koča, and we follow it further. Occasionally a little worse road then brings us to a parking lot in front of the gate in valley Krma.

Path description:
Already about 50 meters before the parking lot a marked path branches off to the left upwards, which leads towards Debela peč and Blejska koča na Lipanci. We go on this path, which after the initial three minutes of gentle walk starts ascending steeply. Few minutes higher the path brings us below the cliffs, on which we notice a caption, that the path on which we will ascend was built in the year 1952.
The path ahead is steeply ascending through the forest to a little more demanding passage, where we get help from iron spikes, less steep stairs and a steel cable. The path ahead brings us into dwarf pines and we follow it further to a mighty torrential gully, to which we descend a little, and on the other side, we diagonally ascend on a steep slope.
The passage gully is after heavy rains difficult or even not possible, but because the slopes are steep water quickly drains. The path ahead is ascending through the forest, still steeply upwards. Further, we are getting closer to the steep slopes and rocky cliffs. When the forest becomes thinner, the path ascends even steeper and for a short time becomes so steep that we have to use the hands. This part is mainly in wet dangerous for slipping, and in dry it doesn't pose a greater risk. The path then brings us below the steep rocky cliff, where mainly in spring time there is a high risk of falling stones. Crossing below the cliffs we make almost horizontal, after that the path ascends again. Again we get help from a steel cable, which brings us on grassy slopes. Ahead we again cross to falling stones exposed slopes and soon after that, we come on a less steep part of the path, where we are ascending on an increasingly panoramic path which runs mostly among dwarf pines and thin forest. When we get to a crossing we go left in the direction of Debela peč.
The path ahead in a moderate ascent in few minutes brings us on Lipanska vrata, from which in few steps we descend to a crossing.
We go left in the direction towards Brda and Debela peč and we continue walking on the path surrounded with dwarf pines. We walk almost horizontally, and from the path to the left twice a path to the summit of Brda branches off, and we follow a gently sloping path to a crossing, where from the right joins the normal approach from Pokljuka on Debela peč.
Some 10 strides ahead we leave well-beaten path towards Debela peč and we continue an ascent right in the direction of the summit Okroglež. Next follows an ascent on less distinct footpath which through a lane of dwarf pines in a little less than 5 minutes of additional walking brings us on a panoramic peak Okroglež, where there is a stamp on a metal pole.
