Tolmin - Kozlov rob (learning trail)

Access to starting point:
We drive to Tolmin, there at the traffic light on the top of the hill, we turn right (if we come from the direction of Kobarid left) towards Zatolmin. After a good 50 meters from the traffic light we get to a smaller crossroad, where we continue slightly left (straight Zatolmin). Further, we drive on the road Brunov drevored, and we drive there to signs for path on Kozlov rob. We park at an appropriate place by the beginning of the path on Kozlov rob.

Path description:
At the starting point, we notice signs for Grad, which point us on a wide footpath which ascends through the forest. Already after a shorter ascent, we come to a crossing, where we continue right in the direction of learning path (Učna pot) on Kozlov rob, or Grad (left trim trail).
We continue on a wide and gently sloping path, and it quickly brings us to a water storage. Behind the water storage the path is for a short time still ascending gently, and then passes into a dense forest, through which it is then steadily ascending. Well settled and well maintained path, at the crossings we follow in the direction of learning path, and higher it leads through a small wooden bridge, after which we quickly get to an old military bunker. We still continue the ascent on a moderately ascending path, and it brings us to a viewpoint, from which a nice view opens up on Tolmin with surroundings. The path ahead for few minutes returns into the forest, after that a little below the summit brings us out of the forest, where joins the path Grajska pot. Here we continue right and after few steps of additional walking, we get to renovated ruins of the former castle on Kozlov rob.
