Trbovlje - Javor

Access to starting point:
From regional road Hrastnik - Litija, at the traffic light crossroad on the periphery of Trbovlje we turn right, or left if we come from Ljubljana and we drive to the center of Trbovlje. We continue driving in the direction of Prebold, but we follow the road only to Gornje Trbovlje, where at the traffic light crossroad, we continue left on the road Cesta Tončke Čečeve, by which we then also park on one of the parking lots (during the working days, the parking lots are reserved for employees in nearby companies).

Path description:
From the starting point, we continue on the road by which we've parked, and then at the smaller crossroad at the chapel, we continue left on a narrow and ascending road (by the crossroad we notice signs for Sveta planina / Partizanski vrh). The road ahead leads past few houses, and then passes on grassy slopes, on which we ascend to the last house.
Behind the last house, we look for a marked cart track which is further ascending by the edge of the forest. Higher, a moderately steep cart track passes into a lane of bushes, and then it brings us to an abandoned house, after which we go on an asphalt road. We follow the mentioned road to the right, and it quickly brings us to the next crossroad, where we continue left in the direction of Sveta planina. Further, we ascend past few houses, after that from the left joins the path which starts at the lower part of Trbovlje.
We continue on the more and more panoramic road which meanwhile already lost the asphalt covering and we follow it to the "last" house in Planinska vas. We continue the ascent on a wide and well-marked cart track which at first leads by the edge of the forest and then when we bypass on the right side few houses, it passes into a little more dense forest. Higher, the cart track brings us by the edge of extensive and steep grassy slopes, from which a nice view opens up on the western part of Posavsko hribovje. A little further, the path turns sharply to the right and passes into a dense forest, through which it is ascending diagonally. Higher, we again step out of the forest, where in front of us we already notice the church of the Holy Mary and a little further inn Gostilna Planina. From the inn we continue straight (sharply right - peak of Sveta planina 2 minutes) and on the road we descend to a smaller crossroad, where we continue right in the direction of Mrzlica (straight - mountain hut Planinski dom Vrhe and Čemšeniška planina). We follow the path towards Mrzlica or Podmeja only few meters and then signs for Javor point us to the left. We continue on at first a gentle cart track which continues on a panoramic grassy slope and it quickly starts steeply ascending and splits into two parts. We choose the right cart track which ascends above the water storage, and then on the left side we look for a poorly beaten footpath, on which in few minutes of ascent through the forest, we ascend to a lonely cottage in the middle of the forest. From the cottage, we continue straight and on a poorly beaten footpath in few minutes we ascend on the forested peak.
