From Vojnik, Mislinja or Slovenske Konjice, we drive to Vitanje, where we park on a parking lot at Grajski trg.
Path description:
From the parking lot in few steps we walk to the main road and we continue right. Immediately after the first house we go from the road right on a paved narrow path, on which we quickly get to the bridge, and after the bridge we go right in the direction towards Fužine. We short time continue on the asphalt road, and when the road turns left we go straight in the direction towards Stenica and castle Goležev grad. The path ahead leads us over a small bridge, and the house and on the other side of the stream, we bypass on the right side. Next follows a shorter ascent by the fence, and when we get to the next houses we follow the signs for castle Goležev grad. The settlement a little ahead ends, and the path gradually brings us into the forest, where it ascends a little steeper. During the ascent at first a nice view opens up on Vitanje, and from the left quite unnoticeably joins the upper path.
From the crossing, we are for a short time still ascending, and when the path flattens, we quickly get to the vantage point at the castle Goležev grad.
Ascent further to the ruins is dangerous, partly because of the steepness, and especially because of a great danger of falling rocks.
Description and pictures refer to a condition in July 2022.
