Vurmat (Šturm) - Sveti Duh na Ostrem Vrhu

Access to starting point:
On road Maribor - Dravograd near the hydropower plant Fala we will notice a small bridge on stream Šturmov potok. Exactly on that bridge there is also the border between Štajerska and Koroška. We leave the car at the sawmill or somewhere nearby.

Path description:
The beginning of the path is at the sawmill, which is visible also from the road Maribor - Dravograd. The path at first runs on a wide macadam road, and it leads past few houses of dispersed hilly settlement Vurmat. Higher, we get to the sharp left turn, where we leave the road and we continue on usually a quite muddy cart track. On the cart track, we walk only about a minute, and then we cross a footbridge. After the footbridge, the path becomes steeper and passes into Zrnkova grapa. Further, we are ascending on a partly slippery and steep path, which is on one part also secured with a steel cable. Above the steel cable, the path for some time flattens, and then after the next footbridge it again starts ascending steeply on in parts quite an overgrown path. Higher, the path leads us also through the third footbridge, behind which we get to a lonely cottage and a little further also to mill Virtičev mlin.
From the mill ahead, the path continues on a gently sloping macadam road, and it leads past a pond, after which in two hairpin turns steeply ascends. Further, the road leads us also past the farm Knap, behind which we get to the village Sveti Duh na Ostrem vrhu. When we get to the village, the path at first leads past NOB monument, and above it we get to the church of the Holy Spirit, which is situated on the top of the hill.
