Access to starting point:
A) From Gorenjska we drive to Bohinjska Bistrica, and then we continue driving towards Soriška planina. From Soriška planina we start descending towards Sorica, and then at the crossroad above the village we turn left in the direction of Zgornje Danje. When we get to Zgornje Danje, on an appropriate place at the beginning of the village we park.
B) From central Slovenia we at first drive in Škofja Loka, and then we continue driving towards Železniki and then Soriška planina. Above the village Sorica we turn right in the direction of Zgornje Danje. At the beginning of the village, we park on an appropriate place.
C) From Primorska we at first drive to Most na Soči or Bača pri Modreju, and then we continue driving towards Podbrdo and forward towards Soriška planina. Above the village Sorica we turn right in the direction of Zgornje Danje. At the beginning of the village, we park on an appropriate place.
Path description:
We start on the macadam road which at the beginning of the village ascends left above houses. And soon marked path branches off steep left in the forest. We follow this path to the mountain pasture Spodnji Jirn. Here we leave the marked path and we go left through the mountain pasture towards nicely visible cliffs. At the end of the meadow visible path, by the riverbed of a torrent brings us on the mountain pasture Zgornji Jirn. Here we go left towards Soriška planina, and after few minutes of walking, by the signpost ŽIG, we turn left. We follow the blazes, which quickly take us to panoramic, 1520 meters high, Kačji rob.
