Access to starting point:
From highway Ljubljana - Jesenice we go to the exit Lesce and we follow the road in the direction of Bled, there in traffic lights crossroad signs for Pokljuka point us to the right. This road which in the lower part runs through some villages and later starts ascending steeper we follow in the direction of Šport hotel on Pokljuka. At the crossroad by immediate vicinity of the hotel we continue slightly left and we continue driving towards the mountain pasture Goreljek and ski lift Jelka, which is situated by the eponymous inn. We park on the settled parking lot by information boards (parking lot on the right side of the road is intended for visitors of the ski slope).
Path description:
From the parking lot, we continue on the road which is gently descending towards the bottom part of the mountain pasture Goreljek. After approximately 15 minutes of walking, we come at the marked crossroad, where we continue right in the direction of the mountain pasture Zajamniki. We continue the ascent on the forest road which quickly passes into the forest and is then barely ascending. After a time road on the right side bypasses the mountain pasture Jelje, and a little further we get to the spot, where the path branches off to the right on Javorov vrh. We continue on the road which continues with some shorter gentle ascents and descents, and it further leads north from the nearby mountain pasture Konjska dolina.
On the other side of the mountain pasture road turns left and then leads us towards the south. Few minutes ahead the road turns towards the west and it brings us to shepherd huts Na Pečeh. A short time we walk through a small valley, and then we get to slopes of Rušov vrh (1460 meters).
Here we need to pay attention, because soon will path (cart track) branch off to the left, on which we descend to the mountain pasture Zajamniki. Somewhere in the middle of the mountain pasture is situated cheese cottage, in which we can in the time of grazing season buy some milk product.
