Zvodno - Tolsti vrh above Celjska koča (via Marija)

Access to starting point:
From highway Ljubljana - Maribor, we go to the exit Celje - center and we continue driving in the direction Laško and Zidani Most. The road leads us through the center of Celje, and then before Savinja brings us to a roundabout with a fountain. Here we continue "straight" over the first bridge (direction Laško and Zidani Most) and we follow the road to the next traffic light crossroad, where we continue left over the second bridge over Savinja. Immediately behind the bridge at the crossroad we continue right. After approx 500 meters we get to the underpass under the railway track (on the right side there is a large parking lot and the starting point in Zagrad), we go through it and we continue straight past the fire station in Zagrad. We follow the road through the village, and higher in Zvodno it brings us to a smaller crossroad at the bus stop, where we notice signposts for Grmada right, Hudičev graben straight, parking lot 1.2 km straight. We continue straight towards the new parking lot (2020), and the road gradually flattens and narrows. New parking lot - our starting point is located just by the road before the fish farm. Here we can park and we go on a trip on paths, which lead past Marija, or through Hudičev graben, or through Suhi potok. To the starting point, we can also come from Dolenjska and Zasavje. In this case, we at first drive to Rimske Toplice and then through Laško to the above described second bridge, from where we continue in accordance with the description.

Path description:
From the starting point signposts for Hudičev graben at first point us on the road past the supporting wall back towards Celje, and already after few steps sharply to the left on a cart track which leads into the forest. We follow the cart track about 100 meters to the crossing just before the ditch, where we leave the path into gorge of the stream Hudičev potok and we continue to the left towards Pečovje or Marija. We follow a marked forest path all to the way to the next crossing at the edge of the forest, where to the right we join Celje mountain trail (CPP) on the forest road which is coming from the direction Celje. We soon get to the next crossing, where from the left joins the path Barbarina pot from the direction Štore. We continue straight on the forest road by the homesteads and from here further we for quite some time follow signposts for path Barbarina pot. A little higher to the left a narrower forest path branches off which starts ascending a little steeper. Higher, before the crossing below Marija, we also get help from some cables, more in the function of a fence than a grip. At the crossing, signs CPP point us on Srebotnik, and we continue in accordance with the signposts of the path Barbarina pot to the left slightly downwards, past the chapel with the image of Mary carved into the wall of Srebotnik, and then we go slightly upwards on a wide forest path, partly also a cart track. At the next crossing, we cross the forest road and we continue on the ridge in accordance with blazes and signposts of the path Barbarina pot. When we higher bypass a pleasant clearing, we reach another crossing, where the path Barbarina pot branches off to the left towards Almin dom, and we continue to the right on the forest road towards Tovsti vrh. The path flattens and soon joins the new asphalt road which leads from Svetina towards Celjska koča. The road, to which few meters ahead joins also the path CPP from the direction of Srebotnik, we stick to only about hundred - two hundred meters. Then we leave the road and in accordance with signposts towards Tovsti vrh we continue on a shorter cart track through the forest and then on the forest road. Further at the only homestead in this part, we follow the path upwards through a meadow and from the east side we reach Tovsti vrh. The viewpoint is located few ten meters forward towards the west, from where we can see Posavje hills towards the south and western direction.
