Zvratnice - Bloško jezero

Access to starting point:
A) From the Ljubljana-Koper highway we take the Unec exit, then follow the road in the direction of Cerknica and further in the direction of Bloška Polica and Nova vas. From Nova vas we continue driving left in the direction of Velike Lašče, and then we drive past the settlement Nemška vas na Blokah. A little after the settlement we arrive at a smaller intersection, where a somewhat narrower asphalt road towards Bloško jezero branches off to the right. We park about 100 m ahead on a suitable place by the road.
B) From Ljubljana we drive towards Kočevje or vice versa, but only to the settlement Velike Lašče, where we continue right (from the direction of Kočevje left) in the direction of Nova vas na Blokah. Further, we drive on an occasionally somewhat more winding and also ascending road which leads us past some smaller settlements. In Krampljah and after the bridge over Bloščica there are two turn-offs towards Bloško jezero, we both "overlook" and continue driving on the main road. On a somewhat longer plain, still before the settlement Nemška vas we notice signs for Bloško jezero and Volčje, which direct us left onto a somewhat narrower asphalt road. We continue on the mentioned road, by which about 100 m ahead we park on a suitable place by the road.

Path description:
From the starting point, we continue on the asphalt road which temporarily passes into a lane of spruce forest. When the forest ends, we step onto a larger karst meadow, through which we start gently descending on the still asphalt road. A little further, we arrive at the village Volčje, where from the right also joins the marked path from Nova vas. Here we continue left in the direction of Bloško jezero, then past the church of St. Volbenk, chapel of St. Anton, spring with drinking water and a smaller pond, in the middle of which is situated a miniature church, in a few minutes we arrive at Bloško jezero.
