Dom Petra Skalarja na Kaninu

Description of mountain hut:
The mountain hut is situated on a smaller hill on Kaninski podi. From the hut a view reaches the entire chain of peaks above Kaninski podi from Babanski skednji, Laška Planja, Visoki Kanin and Prestreljenik all the way to Rombon. Further, towards the east follow Jalovec, Mangrt, Triglav, Krn, behind Stol and Matajur there is a plain of Friuli, in the distance we can also see Adriatic Sea and part of Istria. In the valley we can see Soča and Bovec.
Few 10 strides higher from the mountain hut there is a newer bivouac Bivak Slavka Svetičiča - Slavca, which isn't always open.
