Description of mountain:
Grintovec (2558 m) is the highest peak of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps. The mountain rises majestically above the Kamniška Bistrica valley, the Ravenska Kočna valley and the area of the Suhadolnik mountain farm in the Kokra valley. Due to its height it offers an exceptional and expansive view in all directions. To the west Jezerska Kočna and Kokrska Kočna stand out, to the north the view opens onto the Jezersko valley with surrounding peaks, while to the east a picturesque ridge stretches over Dolgi hrbet all the way to the neighbouring Štruca and Skuta. The southern view encompasses the Kalški ridge, and in the background the Ljubljana basin is clearly visible on a clear day. At the summit, besides the registration box with a stamp, there is a circular granite panoramic plaque on which the directions and names of the more important visible peaks are marked.
