Harterberg (Hoaterberg)

Description of mountain:
Harterberg or also Hoaterberg is 1036 meters high hill above the settlement Schrems/Frohnleiten in the northern part of Graz mountains.
On the summit stands a cross. Traditionally, Holy Mass is celebrated on the summit on Pentecost Sunday.
A little below the summit, we can admire two bigger, approximately 200 years old beech trees (perimeter 4.50 meters and 5.78 meters).
The peak is the entire year well visited and offers a nice view towards the valley of Mur and surrounding hills.
