Description of mountain:
Hoher Burgstall is one of the seven classic peaks of Stubai Alps, which the locals recognized as outstanding in historical, tourist and aesthetic terms and they form a popular path "7 peaks of Stubai". It's located in the mountain range Kalkkögel, northern rampart of valley Stubaital. On marked paths it is accessible from the mountain hut Starkenburger and from Sennjochhütte, despite a lower height as most of the remaining key peaks in the mountain range and a relatively easy access, it offers an outstanding view: we can see all the other six peaks of the trail, Kalkkögel, mountain range Habicht and Serles, and in nice weather a view reaches all the way to Innsbruck and mountain range Norkette above it.
