Description of mountain:
Kemacher is the highest peak in the main part of often admired ridge Nordkette, which is rising directly above Innsbruck and as a high natural barrier gives a characteristic appearance to the town.
The only marked approach on Kemarcher runs on the route of an attractive and not too demanding ferrata, which offers outstanding views on the south towards Innsbruck and Stubai valley, and towards the north on a scenic mountain chain Karwendel, south part of which is formed by Nordkette. Because almost to the beginning of ferrata runs a funicular, it is very popular, and Kemacher consequently it is very well visited.
