Description of mountain hut:
Kocbekov dom na Korošici is located below the peaks of Ojstrica, Lučki Dedec, and Koroški vrh, on the edge of the expansive grassy plain known as Korošica. The mountain hut is usually open from mid-June to mid-September; if autumn is mild, the season extends to mid-October. When closed, shelter is available in the winter room. The winter room key is reserved through PD Celje-Matica and collected from farmer Mlinar at Podveža 44, Luče (Planinšek na Planici, phone: 03 584 42 54), where visitors must leave an ID and sign a statement on safe use of heating and lighting appliances. The fee is €25 per day (from key collection to return) for one to five visitors, with €4 extra per day for each additional person beyond five. From Korošica, where livestock grazes in summer, there is a beautiful view of Lučki Dedec, the slopes of Planjava and Ojstrica, and the nearby less prominent Koroški vrh. On Korošica – Slovenia's highest football pitch – a small-sided football tournament is held annually, usually in August.
