Oberer Wildenkarsee is upper and quite larger as bottom eponymous lake. The lake is situated in high mountain cirque below the steep slopes of surrounding peaks. From the lake, there is a nice view towards the nearby peaks, where there are most beautifully seen Flederwaißspitz, Bauleiteck and Dachleiteck.
