Description of mountain:
Orleška draga (also Orleška dolina) is about 60 meters deep karst valley (or sinkhole), which is situated west from the village Orlek pri Sežani. Sinkhole is approximately round in shape, the upper diameter measures about 200 meters, the bottom is flat with diameter about 60 meters. The altitude of the bottom is 265 meters.
Sinkhole is circled with scenic vertical walls, mainly on the west and south, while the eastern slope is slightly less steep and vegetated with trees. The bottom itself is vegetated with grass.
Across the sinkhole runs the national border with Italy. A larger part of the sinkhole is located on the territory of Slovenia, only western slope is located on the territory of Italy.
The sinkhole can be accessed on a cart track which lightly brings us all the way to the bottom. We can reach it on a short walk on unmarked paths from Orlek, and even slightly closer is Fernetiči on the Italian side of the border. In November 2022 nowhere Orlek, in the sinkhole or in its vicinity we couldn't notice any information board about this natural attraction.
A note: I don't know the official data about the dimensions, diameters were estimated with distance meters in Google Maps, and the altitude with GPS tracker.
