Description of mountain:
Pokljuka Gorge, also Ribščica The gorge is 1.5 km long gorge by east foot of the Alpine plateau Pokljuka above the valley of river Radovna in TNP. The gorge is dry, and in the lower part appears stream Ribščica (tributary of Radovna), which in last ice age draining water from Pokljuka glacier and carved limestone rock to 50 meters deep. In the main part of gorge are numerous fossil remains, natural bridges, on narrowest, impassable part they already in the year 1930 made 800 meters long tourist path (wooden bridges in partisan passage, named Galerije kraljeviča Andreja). Among attraction of gorge belongs also Pokljuška luknja, (rocky cave with two entrances and three natural windows, in which during his escape to Germany was supposedly hidding Primož Trubar; through the hole leads the path ahead on Stara Pokljuka) and gorge Stranska soteska, which in rainy periods is filled up by 22 meters high waterfall.
