Description of mountain:
Serles is one of the most recognizable, admired and visited hills in the surrounding of Innsbruck. A three-headed pyramidal mountain together with Hafelekar (or the ridge Nordkette) and Patscherkofel forms the trinity of Innsbruck panoramic mountains, which complement the characteristic panorama of the town and at the same time they are accessible to a wider masses. Serles is also one of the points of trail "7 peaks of Stubai".
A little lonely mountain of attractive pyramidal shape bears the nickname "high altar of Tyrol", and a lot of writers wrote about it - including Goethe, who is also the author of the nickname - and many visual artists were inspired by it. The first official approach to the top of Serles was already in the year 1579.
The peak is otherwise very spacious, and it offers a beautiful view above Innsbruck with Nordkette, Zillertal and Stubai Alps.
